That sounds like the good ol' States! I was not surprised to hear that your first act would involve obtaining "real" Mexican food! When returning back to the States, I usually go hunting for spicy food, a proper steak, or both. It's a bummer we didn't get to visit this time around, but I'm sure we'll run into each other again in some hopeless and dire circumstance (where your friends will most likely bare the brunt of your awesome chaos!)!

Hi, I agree on the positive spirit you can feel wherever you go in the US. They really believe in better future and so it's coming..Also true that crisis affected US more than EU although, people over there are more optimistic... and active on the other hand looking for new opportunities!

hehehehm I hear you but still I disagree. I think it is just us, who want to believe we are a part od something special.

Well we are - but I believe it is humanity, not nations...

Well, I can't say I agree that a country can claim qualities such as believing in yourself, not looking back trying hard etc.

Some might call it American way, but that doesn't mean that people on other places od ot world don't live exactly by the same principles.

Nationality doesn't really matter, unless u make it so.

Thank you Brandy and Cherry, you do raise a good point... it's not that I'm trying to say America has the exclusive contract on hope and persistence and optimism, but what I am saying is that those things in the national character are more pronounced and make America special in some ways that go beyond what is generally known...
