Cristiano Ronaldo trains at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas

Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Madrid, currently training at Valdebebas

The Real Madrid icon has returned home as he trains for the remainder of the season while waiting for news on his next club.

According to Revelo, Cristiano Ronaldo is training at Real Madrid’s Valdebebas exactly four days after Portugal was eliminated from the World Cup by Morocco.

The GOAT has returned to Madrid, his home for the past nine years from 2009 to 2018, where he is now training by myself at Valdebebas to keep his form and shape for the second half of the season. Cristiano was granted the necessary permissions by the club and was authorised to train on a specialized area than the one used for first team training.

Ronaldo has been looking for a new club since his contract with Manchester United terminated earlier this month. He has a financially enticing offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr on the table, but has yet to say “yes” as he awaits offers from possible European and Champions League participating clubs.

It is no mystery that Ronaldo would like to return to Real Madrid, but the club believes the Cristiano Ronaldo story arc finished and does not want to incorporate the veteran into the present squad dynamics.

Ronaldo’s arrival to Valdebebas apparently stunned many this morning, with several academy players eager to meet and take pictures with the star. The fact that Ronaldo decided to train in Valdebebas in Madrid and that the club gave him authorization suggests that the two have a strong connection. Cristiano Ronaldo will be remembered as one of, if not the, greatest Real Madrid players of all time.
