To mark the start of the new season, Eduardo Camavinga has switched from his usual number 25 jersey to a 16-shirt.
While playing for Rennes, the 19-year-old was given the opportunity to wear the number 10 shirt, but he was forced to settle for 25 when he joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2021 making 40 appearances for the club.
But since a few players left Real this summer, there are now a few more jerseys available, and AS says that Camavinga has moved up to number 16.
Last season, Luka Jovic wore the number for real Madrid, but he has since moved on to Fiorentina. It was given to Alvaro Odriozola, who is anticipated to fill the void left by Marcelo’s departure from the starting lineup and take the 12 instead.
This shirt has been worn by Borja Mayoral, who went for Getafe in the summer, as well as James Rodriguez, Mateo Kovacic and even Lucas Silva in recent times.
Aurelien Tchouameni took Gareth Bale’s 18 shirt, while Antonio Rudiger took Isco’s 22 shirt.
