Isco

Isco has signed for Sevilla

Former Madrid player and free agent Isco has finally found a team to join, one that many expected him to join: Sevilla.

This is an excellent place for Isco, who wanted a team big enough to meet his requirements, one of which was Champions League participation. Isco would have been unable to find a home in most major league clubs, while lesser clubs could not afford to pay his outrageous wages. Sevilla appears to be a team that may provide both playing time and a chance to play in Europe.

Of course, Julen Lopetegui will play a role in Isco’s choice in at least one way. The current coach of Sevilla has always been a big fan of Isco. When he was coaching Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, he made Isco a key player.

Today, Sevilla’s official website confirmed that Isco had signed with the team:

Sevilla FC has reached an agreement in principle with the player Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, known in football as Isco (Benalmádena, Málaga, April 21, 1992) for his incorporation as Sevilla FC’s third signing for the 2022/23 season. The attacker is already in Seville, to undergo the medical examination this Monday. If all goes well, he would sign his contract for the next two seasons. After taking his first steps in clubs on the Malaga coast, when he was only 14 years old, Valencia CF noticed him. Already at a young age he made the leap to Valencia Mestalla, while his official debut with the first team came in a cup match against Logroñés. That same season, 2010/11, he participated in two Champions League matches and one in LaLiga with the Che team.
