La Liga play resumes for Real Madrid this coming Monday at 01:30 A.M IST, and they will be looking to defend their crown.
During the week, Los Blancos faced Eintracht Frankfurt, and Carlo Ancelotti fielded the same starting lineup that won last season’s Champions League.
We expect Ancelotti to make four changes to that lineup for tonight’s game, according to Diario AS. As a result of Rodrygo Goes’s muscle injury sustained on Friday during practise, they will be shorthanded in that department.
The two new players for Los Blancos this summer—Antonio Rudiger in central defence and Aurelien Tchouameni in the holding role—should both get the nod right away. Dani Carvajal, who is also out, will be replaced by Lucas Vazquez. Fede Valverde will start in place of Toni Kroos, and Marco Asensio will move to the right side of the attack.
Real Madrid will look to capitalise on Barcelona’s early mistake and set the tone for the competition. Real Madrid looked prepared and sharp in their match against Eintracht.
Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Lucas V., Militao, Rüdiger, Alaba; Modric, Tchouameni, Valverde; Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius.
