Real Madrid announces plans to launch theme park in Dubai

As per Real Madrid’s official statement, Real Madrid and Dubai Parks and Resorts have reached an agreement to open the Middle East’s first Real Madrid theme park. This ground-breaking new experience will allow families and all football and sports fans of all ages to delve themselves in the culture of the world’s greatest football club.

The park will open “in the fourth quarter of 2023.” In addition to shops, the 14-time European club champion stated that the park will include “Real Madrid-related attractions,” such as a museum, amusement rides, and games of footballing skill.

When it was revealed a few months earlier that President Florentino Perez had planned to open a theme park near the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, it caused quite a stir.

Perez, on the other hand, has made it abundantly clear that he was serious about the concept.

Motiongate (animated characters), a Bollywood park, Legoland, and a Legoland waterpark are already owned and operated by Dubai Parks and Resorts.

It clearly shows Perez’s and Real Madrid’s desire to market the club globally and expand their market opportunities. On the surface, it appears that Real Madrid will simply sell their brand rights and possibly have a hand in the museum and shops.

“We are delighted that Real Madrid has chosen Dubai Parks and Resorts as its partner in our quest to bring the best international entertainment brands to the region,” said Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment.
