Real Madrid interested in Lisandro Martinez

Real Madrid interested in signing Lisandro Martinez

Real Madrid have been linked to a number of players in recent months, and it remains to be seen whether the club will make any significant moves following the World Cup. The squad depth is lacking, and they clearly require more options to compete on all fronts – – La Liga, Champions League, and Copa del Rey.

However, one position where Real Madrid excels is at center-back. They have three world-class options in David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Antonio Rudiger, and Nacho Fernandez is an excellent cover option.

However, Nacho may be on his way out soon. His current contract expires at the end of the season, and he has been linked with a number of clubs recently. Real Madrid, on the other hand, has been unable to keep clean sheets this season, despite having some big names at the back.

As a result, could the club look for another centre-back in the near future? Real Madrid are considering a move for Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez, according to Defensa Central (via Caught Offside).

Martinez has been extremely outstanding since joining Manchester United from Ajax in the summer, establishing himself as one of the starters in Erik ten Hag’s team despite initial concerns about his lack of size.

It is unclear whether Real Madrid will make a move for him, but signing the Argentine from Manchester United anytime soon will be extremely difficult.

He not only has a long-term contract with the club, but he is also one of Ten Hag’s favourites.
